Breast Cancer

"In March 2006 I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. My pet scan revealed cancerous lesions in my bones with a large lesion from my sacrum to my hip. I had limited range of motion in my neck and pain with stiffness in my ribs and hip area.
The pain was so extreme that simple things like going upstairs, putting on my pants or getting up from a chair was difficult. There were times the pain would keep me up at night and I would have to take Tylenol #3 for relief. Activities I've enjoyed such as bike riding and yoga classes were put on hold.

In May 2006 I happened to meet Raul Beltran L.Ac., OTR at Advocate and decided to give acupuncture a try. That was the last time I had to take Tylenol #3! I was completely amazed at how good I felt after the treatments. I am now bike riding and taking yoga with no limitations. Words cannot express how grateful I am. I am 100% pain free!
